This blog contains some advice that is unconventional and some people may even find it offensive. Be warned.

It is this. In my earlier blog I had mentioned that acceptance of the sex urge is necessary for good relations with people and also for your intellectual development. I will not present very long arguments.

Regarding social relations please refer to my earlier blog in this three part series. Link is at the end of this article.

Regarding how lack of sex education affects you intellectually here is a result of a question I posed to Bing some time back.

My question to Bing

If you deceive someone about something very basic it affects them intellectually. Am I correct?

Copilot’s answer:

Yes, you’re correct! Deception can indeed have intellectual consequences. When someone is misled or given false information, it can impact their understanding, decision-making, and overall cognitive processes. It’s essential to promote honesty and accuracy to foster intellectual growth and well-being. 🌟

Now for the controversial bits:

It is necessary to hide what you do and think from the mass of people you meet in society. India is a traditional and conservative country and there is no point in acting in ways that will almost certainly be misunderstood and judged and condemned. I have had my career, social life and family life wrecked partly because of my attitude towards sex and I would not wish that on anyone. I will not go into details of how I was treated. There is no point. It should suffice to say that I developed a mental ailment partly as a result of the way I was treated.

I must also emphasize that although I am advocating acceptance of your urges and impulses it does not necessarily mean that you act according to them. This is a subtle point. It is perfectly okay that these feelings and urges should arise and you must welcome and accept them. But you must not necessarily act according to them. You need to behave in conventional ways and hide your unconventional attitudes and behaviour. This is necessary when it comes to such a sensitive subject where your reputation can be ruined for a lifetime if you don’t behave in a conventional manner. I am speaking from experience.

When in Rome do as Romans do.

It makes sense to follow this teaching of the Bible except when it comes to points of honour or principle

Now the Bible also says – Hide not your light under a bushel.

That is to say  – in this context – give people the benefit of your knowledge or wisdom in a spirit of love and goodwill. That is excellent if you want to be a man of God or a social activist whose work is related to sex education in the country. You need to decide if that is a role you want to play or whether your responsibilities towards your family are more important to you.

I should think for most people families will win out.

I repeat again – India is a traditional and conservative society and you must not be seen as going against public opinion when it comes to sex. You may have to pay a very heavy price for it.

I have already paid the price and there is nothing more I need to fear. So it is possible for me to write blogs about these topics. The same may not be true about you. I hope it is not.
