My 2 cents on the Coronavirus

Here are my 2 cents on the Corona virus. I am not sure how much you will like what I have written but it is likely to be a different perspective from what you will find elsewhere.

I’ll start with a WhatsApp conversation with my niece a couple of days ago. The link is to an article by Taslima  Nasreen in which she attacks religious beliefs.

My Niece:  https://theprint.in/opinion/mecca-to-vatican-covid-19-proves-when-human-beings-are-in-peril-gods-flee-first/382851/

My Niece: This article reminded me of your style of writing😀

Me: Is that a compliment? I’ll take it a such😊😊

It can be argued that science and free thought and having a mind of your own is also God’s gift to us

Taslima Nasreen is intelligent and has many worthwhile things to say but l think that she has been embittered by her experiences and you cannot expect a balanced viewpoint from her.

My Niece: Ha Ha yeah. But I agree with her views so found that this struck a chord

Me: Yes it should. You are from the scientific community

Me May be God is tired of the antics of the human race and has decided to teach us a lesson.

We’ll see what happens

My Niece: 😂😂

My Niece: All these viruses and infections that we see from animals can be attributed to excessive human intervention in nature. My viewpoint

My Niece: Along with other factors like urbanization

Me: Yes, I am sure that is likely.

Anyway, according to Quantum physics the universe is an organic whole similar to the human body. Just as it does not matter what happens to the cells within the body as long as the body itself is in a state of well-being so also it does not matter what happens to the human race.

We are here to serve the universe or God. The universe is not here to serve us

My Niece: Yes

My Niece: Very philosophical and profound

Me: Very basic stuff 😊😊

Me: Glad you liked it

The second point I would like to make is from a story I have read in The Arabian Nights. It is reproduced below.

The speaker is Death

There was a merchant in Bagdad who sent his servant to market to buy provisions and in a little while the servant came back, white and trembling, and said, Master, just now when I was in the marketplace I was jostled by a woman in the crowd and when I turned I saw it was Death that jostled me.  She looked at me and made a threatening gesture, now, lend me your horse, and I will ride away from this city and avoid my fate.  I will go to Samarra and there Death will not find me.  The merchant lent him his horse, and the servant mounted it, and he dug his spurs in its flanks and as fast as the horse could gallop he went.  Then the merchant went down to the marketplace and he saw me standing in the crowd and he came to me and said, Why did you make a threating getsture to my servant when you saw him this morning?  That was not a threatening gesture, I said, it was only a start of surprise.  I was astonished to see him in Bagdad, for I had an appointment with him tonight in Samarra.

Whatever will be will be. I think along with all other precautions we would be served well if we learned detachment as well.

I hope you found this article interesting.
